Had a real good look for Edwards and getting nowhere. The Pension card show his disability on beng discharged was Nephritis and he died of it 6 years later. Not sure what else really needs to be said. It is clear his service papers no longer exist.

Thank you Mark and George. I did argue the toss saying that his nephritis was contracted during service and he died from the same but Terry says the gap is too long between discharge and death and it does not show he was discharged with nephritis, etc. He says perhaps things will change and to re-send in another 6 months.

Good morning guys and gals. A real poser for ye this dark morning. We are trying our best to tie these cards together (no records yet) and it is difficult to send him forward to I.F.C.P.

It looks like the missing link is evading us, can you help please? Well done to George for locating these in the first place, it cannot have been easy I reckon.

Mods I am putting these cards up for a short time and will delete them in 24 hours if that is ok.

Thank you kindly Paul, it confirms it is the right fella and did not have WW1 service. So onward we go!

Kind regards.

Ancestry have some prison records for him around 1914, it seems he was charged with neglecting his child. I can't find his death though.

I looked at this man with Terry a couple of years ago, the feeling was that he re-enlisted with the Northumberland Fusiliers for a brief period, but the lack of connecting evidence stopped him from going forward.

Good morning all.

I was asked by a friend to see if anything other than a M.I.C. existed for her Grandfather. He was born in Summerhill Parade, Dublin City in 1884. Can you find any records other than his M.I.C. please?

Andrew Millar, Private, Army Service Corps, 140096, also served with the Royal Irish Rifles under service number D/120407, and the King's Royal Rifle Corps under service number 53981.

Kind regards.

Tom.

Good morning all. It is last chance saloon for this lad I am afraid. We tried to ding him out in 2019 without success so I am hoping folder3 or something else might save him. Can you help please?
