Hi Tom, one of the pension cards for your chap:

DonohueThomas(11282).jpg.64b07392f07dce2c1ac7e507979d9ff8.jpg

I've checked Ancestry and they have a burial record for Thomas Donohoe at Frimley (St. Peter) Churchyard in Surrey, age 21 and buried on 11 Jan 1916. Seems to correspond to Ivor's death record above.

I hear a death certificate has been reduced to 2.50

Don't get too excited, the GRO's new service only applies to death certificates up to 1887.

Hi Tom, I'm checking through my notes and may have one or two cases of interest to you that I don't intend to pursue myself. I'll post any others as I find them.

William Codd 24663 Royal Dublin Fusiliers, died 07/08/1921:

CoddWm(24663)2.jpg.204a65092dc3a649e455bc9ed594968d.jpg

Discharged on 17/06/1916 due to VDH aggravated by service. Death was registered at Wexford, cause of death was heart disease (10 years). However, there is no image online for the DC and Terry has said that the transcription alone is no good, so a certificate would need to be ordered.

Most certainly Paul, thank you kindly. They all have a place in the database, and will not be forgotten or lost again.

Kindest regards.

Tom.

Hi Tom, the only possible match I can find is this man:

Name Andrew Brian
Death Age 47
Birth Date abt 1871
Registration Date Jan 1918 [Feb 1918] [Mar 1918]
Registration Quarter Jan-Feb-Mar
Registration district Birkenhead
Inferred County Cheshire
Volume 8a

Burial was at Ford Cemetery in Liverpool on 11/3/1918, he died at Victoria Central Hospital, Wallasey, and appears to have a private grave. I'll look for a headstone next time I'm there just in case.
