Uncle George Posted 1 March , 2023 Share Posted 1 March , 2023 (edited) Old Matt Hancock’s got himself into a bit of a pickle, it seems. “Follow the science!” he would say. At least, that’s how I remember it. Anyway, who is this ? ? ? EDIT: Image from Wikipedia Edited 2 March , 2023 by Uncle George

San Francisco Mayor London Breed made reference to the Anti-Mask League in 2020: “Well, I do think it’s important that we also remind people of history. The Spanish flu in San Francisco in 1918 when the city had a big party and threw away their masks and celebrated, and then a few days later, two thousand people died”. Knotty Posted 2 March , 2023 Share Posted 2 March , 2023 Well done Ir and good find UG, I was heading down a completely different track. If we are still up for another WIT, this chap was in the navy but killed in action Oct 1914 near Ypres serving in the South Staffs, his story was mirrored in a book and film. Rare for me to get one on here, but I'll let it run for a bit as I need to get to a Post Office and cash a Postal Order. Now where did that go...?
