Mark1959 Posted 26 June , 2019 Share Posted 26 June , 2019 The fold3 link for George’s find suggests he was still alive in 1923 so I do not think he is the correct Michael Roche. There are lot of Michael Roche from Cork with WFA cards none showing the date of death. So it will be a plough through
museumtom Posted 26 June , 2019 Author Share Posted 26 June , 2019 I was going to pass this one by but I have a feeling he might be a contender, can you help please? museumtom Posted 26 June , 2019 Author Share Posted 26 June , 2019 Another that may qualify, perhaps the answer if his illness was aggravated lies in pension on Ancestry, can you help please? I think Myalgia and Asthenia are related. https://search.findmypast.co.uk/record?id=gbm%2fwo363-4%2f007273341%2f00227&parentid=gbm%2fwo363-4%2f7273341%2f22%2f213

Mark1959 Posted 26 June , 2019 Share Posted 26 June , 2019 Think Roche is probably https://www.findmypast.co.uk/transcript?id=GBM/SILVERWAR/BADGES/143702 Certainly died early 1921.But neither of the 2 WFA cards are helpful and as he died of TB and was discharged due to wounds he is probably a non-starter as for as the IFCP goes. museumtom Posted 26 June , 2019 Author Share Posted 26 June , 2019 Thank you Mark, a nice find. If we could only tie the DC and this together I could add him to my files anyway. Kind regards. Tom.

museumtom Posted 26 June , 2019 Author Share Posted 26 June , 2019 Thank you Mark. it really looks like him. If we could locate some document that ties it all together that would be fantastic. I would put a bet that the man below is our soldier, but without that missing document it is just a guess. http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Kerry/Tralee_Urban/Mary_Street/1431939/ Kind regards. Mark1959 Posted 26 June , 2019 Share Posted 26 June , 2019 For Scully Ancestry merely has the same as FMP. Assuming you have the right man the Medical board findings are myalgia of unknown origin and not attributable. There are no relevant WFA cards
museumtom Posted 26 June , 2019 Author Share Posted 26 June , 2019 This man has all the indications of being a qualifier, but the critical sheet is missing from the records in FMP, can you help please? https://search.findmypast.co.uk/record?id=gbm%2fwo363-4%2f007372842%2f00988&parentid=gbm%2fwo363-4%2f7372842%2f43%2f962

He had a disability aggravated by service; it is Need a resident Doctor to work out what that it is and if it is related to the gastritis on his Death Cert. https://www.fold3.com/image/645088523 edit - looking at it again I think it is Hernia Edited 26 June , 2019 by Mark1959

Mark1959 Posted 26 June , 2019 Share Posted 26 June , 2019 (edited) A possible is 2Lt T H Smythe. SWB Card gives his address as 3 Homeville, Rathmines Road, Dublin. Card says 38th Royal Fusiliers There is Death Index record for TH Smythe in Rathdown 2Q 1921 that I am assuming refers to the above death. Again .. struggling.
