Mark1959 Posted 8 April , 2019 Share Posted 8 April , 2019 (edited) Not sure we have got them mixed up. All the family records seem to marry up and this LG records indicates the R, Ir man and the 53 Sikh man are one and the same https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/29086/page/2112 Half way down left hand side. Note the since deceased. Edited 8 April , 2019 by Mark1959

museumtom Posted 8 April , 2019 Author Share Posted 8 April , 2019 What a memory Craig!! Well done on all counts. I forget stuff that never even happened!, You did him already, yes of course you did. There are sometimes more than one military name on the Death certs, so if Smith and Jones are on the same cert I save them under both names. It can get confusing at times. Thanks again for all your help Craig! Kind regards. Tom. I hope I can rely on your to keep an eye on me in future!

Dai Bach y Sowldiwr Posted 9 April , 2019 Share Posted 9 April , 2019 Off the top of my head Tom, I'd say if he dies of phthisis only 6 weeks after the outbreak of war, then he's probably been discharged a while. I'll have a look later, been commanded to peel the potatoes.

Dai Bach y Sowldiwr Posted 9 April , 2019 Share Posted 9 April , 2019 George M. Share's MIC is for BWM & VM only, and doesn't have a date for entry into war theatre. So implies entry after 31/12/1915? I think the surname is Share though...
