Not sure we have got them mixed up. All the family records seem to marry up and this LG records indicates the R, Ir man and the 53 Sikh man are one and the same

Half way down left hand side. Note the since deceased.

I'm sure he was one of the men I had looked at Tom and I'm sure I'd found him - give me a few mins to check.

What a memory Craig!! Well done on all counts. I forget stuff that never even happened!, You did him already, yes of course you did. There are sometimes more than one military name on the Death certs, so if Smith and Jones are on the same cert I save them under both names. It can get confusing at times.

Thanks again for all your help Craig!

Kind regards.

 Tom.

I hope I can rely on your to keep an eye on me in future!

Off the top of my head Tom, I'd say if he dies of phthisis only 6 weeks after the outbreak of war, then he's probably been discharged a while.

I'll have a look later, been commanded to peel the potatoes.

Several Family trees on Ancestry.

James William Millar born 1st October 1880,  parents Joseph and Ellen (nee Nelson.)Millar, married Mary Bryne. Children  James Joseph 1902, Catherine May1903, Mary 1905, Margaret1906.Looks the same as the 1911 Census. Died 19th September 1914. The interesting record which is on Fold3  is Deserted from the Army 1899, no other details such as service number or Regiment.

Thank you Bob and Dai. I had my suspicions, his death being so early in the war. Thank you very much for looking him up.

 Kind regards.

George M. Share's MIC is for BWM & VM only, and doesn't have a date for entry into war theatre.

So implies entry after 31/12/1915?

I think the surname is Share though...

Thought it may be a T as it looks like T in Tuberculosis?

On second thoughts not as it's linked to e in George
