Stephenb Posted 23 January , 2007 Author Share Posted 23 January , 2007 Hi LIT, I have a pic of:- Hugh Alexander Broadway Lieut 15th Coy Royal Engineers DOW 30/03/1915 near Neuve Chapelle Re other ranks it generally doesn't include them unless they were the holder of the VC or were some sort of sporting personality (cricketer etc.) Steve Hi Steve Do you have anything on the following 2 Officers who were brothers: Neville Harris Broadway Lieut 2nd Lancers KIA 1/12/1917 near Cambrai Hugh Alexander Broadway Lieut 15th Coy Royal Engineers DOW 30/03/1915 near Neuve Chapelle Could I ask also if the paper covers Other Ranks. I have 2 brothers mentioned on an Edinburgh Church memorial who lived, enlisted and served in 2 London Regiments and I just can't find the connection between where they lived and enlisted and the Church in Edinburgh. I'll only put their names on if you're happy to look them up. Regards LIT

Moriaty Posted 12 February , 2007 Share Posted 12 February , 2007 Steve, I have currently got a posting running under "Soldier" on Lieutenant Bennet Burleigh of the 7th Lancashire Fusiliers, killed Gallipoli, 15 July 1915. When I did a "Google" on his name, it said that he was mentioned in the Illustrated London News of 25 September 1915. When you have a moment, I wonder if you could have a look and see if Lieut Burleigh is featured. Many thanks Moriaty
