Ron,

I reckon photo #550 (7th Black Watch) is of the 2nd Line. The older men do not look like veterans (nae medals). Only a four of the lads have taken the Imperial Service Obligation, of which none of the older lads have; just a thought, anyway.

Aye,

Tom McC

Anonymous Sgt has pinned back his tunic to make it look like a highland cut. He wears a trench watch expensive at the time.

His hackle is worn behind a button.

Thanks Ron. Regarding the Piper, I don't suppose you have a name, or a year do you?

Also

Where do you get all these photographs/Postcards? They are fantastic.

Mike, unfortunatly very few cards have names on the back, I think most of the Territorial Camp postcards date from 1910-1914.

The photos come from many sources military fairs postcard fairs coin stamp and medal dealers, ebay and ephemera auctions.

The cards have been run through restore and scratch removal software which is why they look so clear.

T6RH at Carlinose camp 1913. With the familiar piper standing left.

I wonder if that wall is still there?
