Fantastic finds George, Craig and Dai. I just could not do it no matter what I did. I knew you lads would be on top of it straight away. George Burrage was on the top of that sheet. I did not list him as I did find him, one of my few successes. Would you please post a link to his record for me?

I will not give up on McDonald and will send Terry the death cert anyway, its the only thing we can do.

Again let me say how much I appreciate your help, thank you all very much indeed.

 Kindest regards.

 Tom.

OK I got it George. I looked at a preview of the card and it does not give me anything I could use to send it on, mores the pity.

Thanks anyway for finding it, it was beyond me.

 Kind regards.

 Tom.

I reckon it might say in his pension documents that he died 08/03/1918.

Spent 85 days in Hospital due to TB from 4 Jan 17 to 18 Apr 17 so clearly crosses with his service and discharge. Medical record also confirms TB.

Dai has found another man for you to submit.

EDIT:

The record seems to be two different men combined in to one file - #3/247 and #2487 - the first pages are for #247 and then it swaps to those for #2487. #3/247 looks to be the right man (#2487 is a decade older).

Oh. Different men are they?

I didn't notice.

Must look in to it again.

Appears that way to me but a second opinion would be good.

I can only find a MIC for 247 : MIC

Is there a medal roll entry for George Carroll under both numbers?

I'll have to come back later for this one...
