Served as Michael Lacy = https://search.findmypast.co.uk/record?id=GBM/WO363-4/007276685/00728&parentid=GBM/WO363-4/7276685/67/728

Record notes 'mental disability' & 'delusional insanity', possibly due to a previous head injury, Discharged March 17.

Yes it is WR Brunton.

The writer of the certificate has just botched the form up.

The writer puts his service number in before his surname, then puts his forename initials in after his rank in the occupation column.

Hence TT 02092(Sic) Brunton

and

Sergeant W.R.

Wot he wrote was "All the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order".

This is his CWGC entry:

  • Last nameBRUNTON
  • First name(s)WALTER ROBERT
  • RankSerjeant
  • Service numberTT/02692
  • RegimentArmy Veterinary Corps

That's brilliant, thank you everyone very much indeed. Internet not great here and I did not bring the death certs with me, what a silly old man. People like me should not be let out on their own! You must all take the night off I am afraid, sorry lads and lassies.

Again I am very grateful for all your help, Thanks again.

 Kind regards.

It is a very special place George, most of it is underground. During the summer I spend a lot of time here as a volunteer and bring the databases for the WW1 Irish war dead for the public to access. Its a free weekend away in a brilliant historical place with views of Cork habour you will not see anywhere. Happy days but occasional rubbish internet speed, it even has a few spooks but we don't like to talk about that.

Kind regards.

And we are back again, I hope all had a great weekend and are all bright eyed and bushy-tailed?

We begin with this lad that should be straightforward but alas such is life, I cannot find him, can you help please?

Thanking you very much in advance.

 Kind regards.

It's worth looking at this man as a possibility.
