I put the above photo on as there seems to be nothing on here for a while. We all know where this is but for a newcomer it shows the rebuilding to the rear of the ramparts at Ypres. I have no date on the rear of the photo but I would think late 1990's

Interesting; just on the basis of the flatness of the landscape I default to the Lys valley as a guess, but I must admit I'm struggling to think of other concrete structures. I'll go and make an industrial strength cup of coffee and see if it helps.

What large items need to be transported by railway ? It is very much away from the front line. As Pete uses the word structure, I would not call it a 'structure'.
