Has Anyone Got A Photograph Of..........

I did put this one up a long while ago - but I think it is appropriate to add it here. I believe a pre-concentration site again labelled 'Redan Cemetery 'with casualties from the disaster in the Dunes at Nieuport. (two views) The second view is one of the 'missing' cards that I do not have a copy of so this is the best I have looks OK shrunk

This is one of my very first photos of the old Western Front. BTW not taken with a good camera. The date on the back is 25 July 1969 the location is also written  on it.

So where does anyone think it was taken ?

The genuinely unknown site, those are two pretty hefty looking stone markers. Would they have moved those as well? I would think that’s more an established cemetery behind the lines. Looks like pollarded willow trees in the background. Or is it a communal cemetery with original civilian markers?

HI Michelle, I have just spotted an alternative caption for this image which mentions British and Canadian graves in this cemetery - may help with a location.

Lock 7, Ypres/Comines canal May 1975, on my honeymoon. Quite overgrown now but original shell damage is/was still to be seen.

What a coincidence. I have just started a thread elsewhere trying to find out where the front line trenches were in front of St.Jean. The Coldstream were there in March and their dug-outs were in the canal bank. I don't know which canal it was, but the date on your picture (3/March) was the date my great grandfather was killed there in 1916.
