I'll leave you with one other before heading back home and to the horse... I'll see tonight if you found this one out.

Took it in 2015 on a tour NOT in Belgium.

I didn’t see the dog when I was there in October.

Yikes... I'm sure somebody thought hard about this, but the windmills take away all the charms of the surrounding.

I have a hunch that I've been there, but can't put my finger on it....

And nobody identified my little row????

I would like to issue a challenge - where is the cross of sacrifice being installed?

Layout wise it’s suggestive of Drummond Cemetery, but I’m wondering whether it’s Gordon Cemetery……

Sorry not correct - the location still looks remarkably similar today. It is not too far from a much larger cemetery. There is only a distant cable and no wind turbines (well on Google anyway!)

So unlikely to be in the Ypres Salient I’d imagine……

I don't know how to use photoshop even if I wanted to. When I first looked at it I thought of Thistle Dump as viewed from Caterpillar Valley cemetery. Which would be apt given the comment as that view has cabling issues and may even have started it off.

Yes well done Thistle dump - would you all be interested in another couple of these early views?

Very much so, thanks Paul. This is the view today from Caterpillar Valley cemetery looking over Thistle Dump to the London cemetery and the edge of High Wood. If you put Thistle Dump into your search engine of choice there are lots of photos which may be closer to the viewpoint in the original.

Pete.
