Knotty Posted 31 March , 2023 Share Posted 31 March , 2023 Is it one of the three Potijze Château cemeteries near Ypres, I’d probably go for the PC Lawn Cemetery because of proximity to the ruins ?

Richard No sorry no dates. We seem to have two potential post war photographic trips, one in 1919 and another in 1921 I am trying to firm up these two dates. I will post here if I succeed. There are even a couple on unknown graveyards and I suspect they are pre-concentration sites.

Stereoview Paul Posted 1 April , 2023 Share Posted 1 April , 2023 Genuinely unknown site - potentially pre-concentration, only possible clue is that it seems to be next to a canal (barge mast and stripy 'air-line' post in background. I have no identity so I cannot confirm or deny any guesses
Stereoview Paul Posted 1 April , 2023 Share Posted 1 April , 2023 Known site for interest only - labelled as Nine Elms, but no sign of the two crosses today perhaps they were temporary wooden versions

Admin Michelle Young Posted 1 April , 2023 Admin Share Posted 1 April , 2023 The genuinely unknown site, those are two pretty hefty looking stone markers. Would they have moved those as well? I would think that’s more an established cemetery behind the lines. Looks like pollarded willow trees in the background. Or is it a communal cemetery with original civilian markers?
