It is "Rue Defacqz", it exists right now in the middle of town ;) ; In WW2, the Germans had their Kreis Kommandantur also in this street

And near of Rue Defacqz, we have "Rue de l'Esplanade" number 18 and 19, where Militär Eisenbahn Direktion I (MED 1) were staying until 22 or 23th october 1918. On 26 october 1918, I find another unit, I'll post the picture soon.

Have a nice day and many thanks for your help

Zur Herstellung einer Gasleitung in der Rue Esplanade für das Helferinnenheim-Betriebsamt Ath

So they were either female civil workers or female helpers for the hospital. Probably civil workers to help with administative tasks.

Nice Grey !

There were 3 hospitals in the town : "Ecole d'agriculture", "Collège Saint-Julien" et "Athénée Royal d'Ath", so 3 schools !

These 3 hospitals were feldlazarett ; there were also 2 civil hospitals that exist before war

interesting, thanks.

But as I wrote before, I´d probably go with female clerks helping out at the Betriebsamt. Otherwise I would have expected to have read Schwestern-Helferinnen (assistant-nurses).

Indeed, in this wording it means female helpers, often in the administration but also in Soldatenheime and other non-military tasks.

Good morning !

An abbreviation unreadable to me :(

"für .... 6 Armee ?" : we are on 29th October 1918, in school Atheneum "Athénée", where was a feldlazarett.... for several months, about 1,5 years

Thanks in advance

Difficult. I am not sure. Verspr [?] S.St. 6. Armee could mean ? Sanitäts-Staffel 6. Armee or ? Staffel Stab 6. Armee.

GreyC

It's "Verspr. S. St. 6. Armee", Versprengten-Sammel-Stelle der 6. Armee".
