Good ma Craig, Thanks for looking anyway.

Here is another mystery man, its just a collection of facts, I dont know his date of death or his regiment or Navy. He is not in the CWGC. Can you offer any suggestions please?

Limerick Chronicle, August, 1916.

Captain J F Hodder, of Bellea Castle, Carrigaline, died at Plymouth. He had been for a time Master of the South Union Hunt. He also yachted and raced.

Death index search gives us Francis J Hodder Plymouth aged 56

From a Cork newspaper. Does not explain Captain, I;m afraid.

One paper seems to say that died in Plymouth and one that he died in Ireland.

Kind regards.

NOK or place of birth would be fantastic, I have exhausted FMP, SDGW and still reckon he was from Dublin.

 Thanking ye kindly in advance.

 Kind regards.

Scotlands People has a death for a Frank Higgins, aged 41, shown for what looks to be Edinburgh St George in 1919 (only F Higgins shown for 1919).

Thank you kindly Craig,

His Probate gives a Dublin address, but he was buried in Scotland, maybe they are both compatible in some way?.

 Kind regards.

 Tom.

The effects register gives his place of birth has Trimulgherry, India.

The effects clerks seem to have been very good at noting details of pre-war regulars, although (for obvious reasons) less so as the war went on.

Hello IPT and Craig, thank you for the replies. I did not see India as his place of birth, but such is life. You are true gentlemen, and thank you kindly.

 Kind regards.

Another request please lads and lassies, if I may. George L Lambert

http://www.cwgc.org/find-war-dead/casualty/1618111/LAMBERT, G

I cannot find him in FMP, IMR or on the net, except in the London Gazette. I have the stuff from ODGW and CWGC. Can you add anything to him please? He is not in Bond of Sacrifice (well I could find him) Our Heroes, Probates, or De Ruvigny's.

Thanking you most kindly in advance.

There is a marriage record dated 30 April 1906 for George lambert and Elizabeth Draper for Dublin South.

George's occupation is recorded as Serjeant, 4th RF and his father is recorded as Charles Lambert, Engineer.
