Tom, the effects records show father was James and mother Elizabeth.

No problem Tom.

That are five other Cornelius Donovan's who died in the effects records - perhaps one of them ?

Thank you for trying Bob. I have to rule him out as he was not an Irishman, I thought he was a different Cornelius Donovan from Dublin.

I appreciate your kind help, and than you again!

Kind regards.

  • 2 weeks later...

May I ask for your help please once again. I am sure this lad was living and working in Dublin but SDGW says residence is Scone, Perthshire. I have CWGC, SDGW and there is nothing in FMP.

http://www.cwgc.org/find-war-dead/casualty/333107/DRUMMOND, DAVID

He is in Pals at Suvla Bay also but does not show the Dublin connection.

Can you help me please?

Thank you most kindly in advance.

 Tom.

Nothing on the effects records that would help.

SDGW often appears to list next of kin addresses for the residence.

Thank you kindly Craig, I understand the SDGW Residence thing. There is an image in a Dublin newspaper that says he was a civil servant there, but try as I might I cannot find any other reference to this except the vague 'civil servant' one in Pals at Suvla Bay.

Kind regards.

He's in the overseas death index but again, no further information is there other than the index to the death cert.

1911 English census only has 1 Owen Kinsella and he's born in Cumberland in 1884 - working as a metal worker. Family are from Wicklow.

EDIT:

He died 1967 so you can cross him off.
