It seems-on Ancestry-that he arrived with TB and was immediately hospitalised. Stated that not caused by service

Died of TB from which he had suffered for 6 month - discharged April 17 so the TB symptoms started in service (as per the snippet I posted a few days ago it would be therefore presume it was associated with his service.)

Edit:

CWGC - https://www.cwgc.org/find-war-dead/casualty/75453294/nolan,-patrick/

I think cases like this confirm the army was operating as stated regarding TB and attribution to service.

I am not expecting a hit on this one, but I will put it to you to see what you can make of it please, if I may?

I do not get a it for a man of this age and name with a Tipperary connection, can you figure it out please?

I reckon he was born around 1870.

Thank you very much in advance for any help you can give.

 Kind regards.

In the pension records, there is an Edward O'Brien, discharged 1916 with senile debility. Haven't looked very deep. Signed up in Borrisokane, C.Tipp, 1915

Christopher O'Brien

There is a service record on FMP for a Christopher O'Brien born 1870 who seems to have a connection with Clonmel. He had 3 children born Clonmel but then crossed out ?

There is a Grange/Clonmel connection. But I couldn't see an E. O'Brien on his record

They are pre war service records, I would have loved for it to be from 1914 but alas, we will have to keep trying. I would need a sheet to show that he died from the illness that he was discharged with.

I appreciatae your goodwill and help, thank you very much Charlie.

Kind regards.

It could be Charlie, but O'Brien is a very common name here and if he was a relative it would have been noted.

 Thanks for trying anyway!
