Ooh that looks good George, thanks for all the information and P.M's. Great information, and very much appreciated.

I am hoping Terry can locate the critical sheet in Ancestry, so I sent all your information to him and await his reply. I am not confident but you necer know. He is worth a shot anyway. Fingers crossed.

Thanks again George, stunning finds.

 Kind regards.

 Tom.

I am still awaiting news from Terry.

I tried all different searches for this man, without avail.  He is another Monaghan man. But he may have been from Athlone, County Westmeath. This could be him. This is all speculation of course. Can you help me please?

Fantastic Craig, thank you for that. That is the first one of the day and I am sure he will qualify. I'll send it off to Terry immediately.

Thanks again!

Kind regards.

No problem at all Tom. Out of curiosity - do you know how many have been accepted in total now ?

Just from our little project here it must be over 200 Craig, in November it was 180. It would not have been possible without the help of your good pals here.

Kind regards.

Thank you Mark. Much appreciated. George sent me the four cards but I did not see sttrib in any of them, can you post an image please? The reaosn I ask is that Terry says links to folder3 images do not work.

Poor Garvey did not make it, the reason was 'it appears that the TB peritonitis is a different condition to that he was discharged with. Given the long period between discharge and death, he could have contracted this elsewhere and so there is no definite evidence it was service related.'

I shall have to hone my Fold3 research skills. I must learn how to 'drill down' through the layers. May be asking for help Craig-online learning called for I think!!

Thank you
