Nick Thornicroft Posted 13 August , 2008 Author Share Posted 13 August , 2008 Dave There's no mention of a CSM Thomas Markey amongst the South Lancashire men. Are you sure he was serving with them at the time of his DCM award? Nick

daggers Posted 25 August , 2008 Share Posted 25 August , 2008 Nick I have an Australian, Pte. James Cunningham, 2365, 9th Battalion, AIF, who is down on a Liverpool Roll of Honour as "DCM". CWGC have him as "MM&Bar", but his Australian records, as dug out for me by other Forum members, show only one MM. Can you please check your records for any hint of a DCM, so that I can be sure of my facts? I am checking with CWGC about their second MM. Many thanks Daggers

I am looking for anything on EDWIN RHODES listed on his medal card as Private, (although family history suggests he may have been higher at some point) I have his medals here and one is the DCM with his details engraved on the rim '23415 Cpl. E Rhodes 2/ N & D R' I was wondering if there was anything you could tell me about what the awarded medal was for? He was also awarded the Belgium Croix de Gerre as well. Thanks very much. Simon.
