After a while the Artillery Wood Cemetery appeared. Copyright: M. Znaniecki

Malte Znaniecki Posted 3 May , 2007 Author Share Posted 3 May , 2007 21st of April 2007 Later on I took the way back to the road Boezinge - Langemark. As I reached the old railway in the area Boezinge - Pilkem I found the Memorial of: Lance Corporal Francis E. Ledwidge of 1st Battalion/Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. He died on 31 July 1917 aged 29 and has been a noted poet. Later on I was told that he was buried at Artillery Wood Cemetery. Copyright: M. Malte Znaniecki Posted 3 May , 2007 Author Share Posted 3 May , 2007 21st of April 2007 In the afternoon we met up with De Diggers in the Boezinge area. They actually work around the International Trench. The site of the trench on the map is close to "Südspitze". Copyright: M. Znaniecki
