chaz Posted 14 November , 2023 Share Posted 14 November , 2023 Richard wins again, one of our locals we passed every time we went in and out of the village, there are 3 in the town/city but with the last having a SAD, this has 3 SAD's buried side by side. Fattyowls Posted 24 November , 2023 Author Share Posted 24 November , 2023 This looks like a double track and French at a guess. If that is the case I'm wondering if it is on the Douai-Arras line. As usual you may be able to rearrange the words tree. barking, wrong and up to make a well known phrase or sentence....
Old Forge Posted 24 November , 2023 Share Posted 24 November , 2023 No prizes for guessing this one but it was a very lucky compositio Richard
Admin Michelle Young Posted 24 November , 2023 Admin Share Posted 24 November , 2023 That’s lovely. I wonder if the crock of gold was on Lone Tree? Got a few rainbows on my last trip over. This could be a candidate for a where is this I guess?
Old Forge Posted 24 November , 2023 Share Posted 24 November , 2023 (edited) Except you’re already there 😊 (Edit) - I wasn’t wearing my glasses when I replied before, only just realised that’s a different rainbow! It’s near a windfarm so slightly favours it being on the Somme. I also have a vague feeling we’ve visited it in this thread before with a different pic. But … both hunches probably wrong 🤣 Richard Edited 25 November , 2023 by Old Forge
Fattyowls Posted 25 November , 2023 Author Share Posted 25 November , 2023 Lovely rainbows. Dud Corner looks lovely in the low sun and the second one is, as so often a mystery to me. Pete.
Admin Michelle Young Posted 25 November , 2023 Admin Share Posted 25 November , 2023 Pete, half correct. Richard, your comment did have me scratching my head until I saw your edit! It’s not the Somme by the way.

But a guess is all it is, that might make it one of the ones down the Arras-Albert line maybe? I may have to find that driver cam of the run across the battlefields if it is still on YT. Admin Michelle Young Posted 25 November , 2023 Admin Share Posted 25 November , 2023 I’ve no idea if it’s double track…Definitely France. Geographically you were half right. EDIT, Google Earth shows double track.
