Hi Stuart,

Sorry for the delay, I missed your post. None of your 1916 Officers are mentioned.

I have mislaid the 1914 disc. As soon as I find it again, I'll let you know. Sorry once again

Cheers

Tim.

Hi All, :)

I have a copy of two Cd Roms One being Officers Died 1914 and the other being Officers Died 1916. They, by no means cover all the Officers probably a couple of hundred on each. If anyone would like a lookup just let me know.

Cheers

Tim.

Hi

I was wondering are you still doing look ups,I was wondering if you could help.

I have a 1915 star trio and copy of service records etc. but I think the crowning glory to finish off my research would be to have a photo of this officer and I was wondering if you have on your officers died 1916 a photograph to the following;

2nd Lt William Riddell,9th or 11th Bn,Devonshire regiment.

killed in action 1st July 1916, buried Devonshire cemetery Mametz.

Thanks

Stan

Hi

Thanks for looking, I live in hope, I picked the group up many years ago(they were in a tobacco tin on an antique fair stall) and as I normally collect N/E Scotland regiments I have really just got into the research of these medals. Thank god for the internet and its users. Thanks again.

Regards

Stan

What a simply astonishing service.

I've been searching for info on Capt. Dietrichsen of the 2/7th Sherwood Foresters. All I know is he was killed in action in 1916 in the Dublin Rising. Any luck?

Hi Wig, :)

Sorry to say, no mention of your man. I expect you have this info but this is what I have found.

SDGW states Captain Frederick Christian Dietrichsen 7th Robin Hood Battalion Sherwood Foresters.

Killed in Action 26-4-16.

CWGC states Captain Frederick Christian Dietrichsen 25-4-16 aged 33. Son of James M. Dietrichsen. Husband of Beatrice Agnes Morgan [formally Dietrichsen]. Buried Dean's Grange Cemetery.

Hope this is of help

Cheers

Tim.
