I've got Thomas William Bartlett in the former Borough of Rawtenstall.  Have you got him?  Born Castlemaine 1894, School Teacher. 1111 Pte/Cpl 37th Australian Infantry Battalion, LSjt/2Lt Australian Flying Corps, Killed (Not War Related) Mid air collision with an RE8 whilst on solo flight at Scampton Aerodrome, Lincolnshire on 16 June 1917 (Board of Inquiry exists),  Buried Lumb Baptist Chapel, Lancashire (nearest UK relatives).

Slight correction - his surname is actually BARTLE
