David26 Posted 9 August , 2022 Share Posted 9 August , 2022 @dink999 thanks for all these. I've just been catching up after a few days away. One of the interesting features that is coming out in this batch is that the casualty lists for men in further flung theatres of war such as Gallipoli are always a few days behind those for France, so for example H.1303 for Mediterranean forces men has dates up to 28 October 1915 while for France-related casualties, H.2976 has dates up to 8 November 1915 and H.3014 up to 9 November 1915. That makes H.1945 seem particularly odd - it is for men from France but is 3 or 4 days out of sequence. You've also spotted a couple of lists where you have two halves that have been torn apart, which is great. Thank you. Do you think there is another pair for the second and third of the H.1940 lists, where the top of the second image "64 Bde ... Severe", possibly being the rest of the entry for Dvr T W Kendle at the bottom of the third image? Lastly, I think that H.1637 may be E.1637 - although the first rendition of it on the list it does appear to say H.1637, the rest look more like E.1637 which would fit much better in terms of dates. What do you think? David.
Bardess Posted 9 August , 2022 Share Posted 9 August , 2022 I believe the short list of H 3578 might be part of H 3538? You're both doing a marvellous job in finding and sorting these lists. Thanks both
