Christina Holstein Posted 2 October , 2007 Share Posted 2 October , 2007 Terrific pictures, Malte and Swine. Malte, that aerial photo of Ft. Dt. before it was devastated is one of the best there is. If only the forest could be chopped down and we could see some of those sites on the slopes below the fort. The aerial picture of Fleury before it was ground to powder is also a stunning picture. Swine, your photo of the bunker on the way from Malancourt to Montfaucon gives a terrific impression of the power of the position. I was there two weeks ago on a day so clear I could see the Ossuary and Fort Souville. There used to be a line of such bunkers along the hilltop but that's the only one left now.
