Just found this thread and this post...my grandfaher was wounded at Vilosnes Oct. 17, 1916...these pictures help me better understand the area. Here's a picture of Vilosnes taken at ground level; the pic is from the Unit History for Feldartillerie-Regiment Nr. 43.
