You are quite right Dai-just medically unfit etc. Clutching at straws really!

All answers possible until disproved perhaps?

Nice one George, a great image, the vital page that links the DC to the man is the hardest one to find. If we can find that we are away in a hack!

Keep up the good work!

Kind regards.

 Tom.

I will give up with O'Keeffe-probably!

But first can anybody link

Patrick O'Keeffe of 20 Lower Castle Street Tralee ( 10.12.14) with

Eliza(beth) Fahey of 27 Upper Castle Street Tralee (NoK for P O'K) or indeed

Patrick O'Keeffe with 27, Upper Castle Street?

Because I'm convinced they are the couple mentioned in the papers forwarded.

Much as i hate to mess up your day but I am hoping you can help with this Middle Ring, Clonakilty, County Cork sailor. I know how difficult these navy men are. He would be a classic contender if we can find his record. Can you help please?

Kind regards.

 Tom.

To follow up the other researches on this man: the Medal Roll for RN Ratings shows that nearly every man called Michael O'NEILL (seven of them) who qualified for WW1 medals had claimed his medals in person after the war (in 1920/21). The one exception was the deserter previously identified who forfeited his medals. None of these RN ratings could have died in April 1918.

Didn't we have Alfred Thomas Rix the other day?

This one is recorded, rightly or wrongly, as Rex.

Edit - Thomas, I mean.
