David,

Here's the ONLY entry (excepting the usual promotion announcements for any officer) for Mannock:

McCudden has a few more entries, again for his medal awards and later on his death. None are unrelated to medals or his death.

Collishaw gets mentioned for his bar to the DSO:

Very many thanks - apologies for the spelling error. The McCudden death report would be helpful, as would Manfred von Rs and anything on the bounder Bishop. Hope I am not being too greedy and thanks again.

Best regards

David

I have recently lost my access to The Times archive and wonder if anyone would have the time to look up two ex-119th Brigade officers? Both met unusual ends and there may be obituaries, reports of death or inquests. They are:

Lt-Col Anthony John Muirhead (post war rank) (1890-1939). Was the MP for Wells amongst other things and committed suicide in Oct 1939 supposedly because of worry about a gammy leg keeping him out of WW2.

Lt-Col R.J.Andrews. Died as a result of an accident in a garage in London in Jan 1923. There was an inquest.

Many thanks

Thank you very much Steve!

I had no idea the London Gazette was on-line!

Never mind for Roger Smith, maybe I'll be luckier some other time (unfortunately, with such a common name searches are always difficult!)

Hi could you please look up Lt Col J T Rankin Mitchell Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. The reason I need this is I am in the process of building a site which will honour the dead of Airdrie, he seems to be the highest ranking casualty. His date of death is 1-04-1918. Thanks any information will be appreciated.
