My granddad`s brother was killed there on 3/5/17, with 5th ox/bucks. I have P. Barton and J. Banning`s panoramas book, and the photos in there endorse the bleak and barren aspect of the terrain that your pictures show. I get a very sobering and chilling effect from seeing them, but am very grateful for the opportunity to glimpse into the past that was these poor lads present.
