Brilliant. Please keep them coming. I'm glad to see some 1916 lists are included. I wonder if FMP have seen this. I did find one list in the service record of 5454 Stephen Higgs (posted above 21/01/2020) that had not been indexed by FMP and there are some other lists in the SWB Rolls, posted at the beginning of this thread, that had not been indexed.

Thanks

Brian

This makes 30 lists in 100 files up to Abbott? If that continues to Young that could be 2000+ lists!!

Couldn't help looking at some records last night and spotted some GHQ, C & M lists for sick/wounded officers.

Also some interesting record offices cropping up - Government Contractors, Accounts 2 War Office.

Noticed a 2009 post that said: @wizard2250

....there seems to be no entries in all the posts for any soldier of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment.

Wondering if anyone is keeping tabs on the lists being posted? List numbers, dates etc.

On the edge of my seat :) - my grandfather was admitted to 18 General Hospital on 10 Dec 1916 after being gassed and a lot of the 1916 entries are in Nov/Dec.

He'd be under WINCHESTER RECORD OFFICE so a fair chance he might appear on the same page as NEWFOUNDLAND CONTINGENT.

I've traced him back to transferred from MONTAUBAN via No 16 Ambulance Train.  It would be excellent to get some further info!

UPDATE: I have tried finding a Newfoundland Regt casualty in the No 18 General Hospital Admissions Register, which Andy very kindly photographed for me back before COVID, in the hopes of then checking that man's record via The Rooms database, but no luck - none admitted to 18 GH from 16 AT that day and none from any ambulance train for a few days either side.

Many thanks for posting!

Mark

No results from cross referencing 18 GH admissions for Newfoundland Regt casualties

Another 100 servicemen’s papers checked now up to Gilbert George BAKER and 41 sheets found.

Given the vast number of casualty pages that were produced but the rarety of their survival, the chances are that your posts are all brand nexw information. Superb.

Another batch courtesy of https://www.therooms.ca

A couple of sheets of more interest maybe? They include a group of Queen Mary’s Army Auxiliary Corps names and an Officers list, not seen one of those before.

Dave,

can I just add my voice to all those who have already thanked you so much for these.  They are really great, and this evening I've found a man about whom I had so very little: all I had previously had was that a 2/Lt Steel was joining 58 Bde RFA as a replacement at Suvla Bay, Gallipoli on 7 October 1915.  Thanks to this list, I now know that he was Francis George Steel and can further research his life and military career.  Thank you,

David.

David,

Thanks for your kind words. Finding some Officers lists was a big surprise as I had not seen any on Find My Past. Glad the post was helpful.

I have now looked through 500 service records, only 6,000 to go!! Here are the latest finds
