Dave

I found this one this morning. In WO 363 Charles William Day (Ancestry filmstrip Day 5563). I can not read the H number. Some Gloucesters for you.

List H 7150 - Med.

I post these odd ones as a marker.

1223 / 710424 Andrew Hawarden 20 Bty 3 East Lancs Brigade is mentioned twice in the Bolton papers. On 05/04/1915, in a letter home, he served in 20 Bty during the action at the Suez Canal in February and 20/06/1916 he was named in the C Bty Football Team in the Desert. He served in 211 Brigade in F&F from 1917. After the war in 1920, age 26, he re enlisted into the Bolton Artillery 53 Brigade as 726828 and served in France in 1940 as BSM of 53 (Bolton) Field Regt (42 Div). He was taken prisoner and finally discharged in 1946.

Jim

I am trying to identify members of 1/3 East Lancs Brigade RFA T who went out to Egypt in 1914 and 1915 and who served in Gallipoli.

Here is another list H 1303 (WO 363 Albert Arthur Kissack  - Ancestry Filmstrip Kis 573).

1233 / 710433 Lewis Hope is mentioned twice in the Bolton papers in 1915. Bolton Journal 24/09/1915 and 08/11/1915. Reporting sick in Gallipoli and returning from hospital. He is also in MH 106/1224 as 18 Bty admitted 25/08/1915 with enteritis. The BJ 02/10/1917 pictured him and reported that he had been k in a on 04/09/1917 serving with 211 Brigade.

I posted this one on the Royal Field Artillery thread in Western Front on 15/06/2021. I can not read the H number but it is March 1916 Med.

In WO 363 Herbert Charles Dunn (Dun 47543)

EDIT. It is H 7391. There are a few posted so I will check for duplications.
