However, I do have documentation that mentions the dropping of map tubes but the details are not mentioned, as per usual in much documentation. Hi That would be very kind of you. I am also presuming that when the RAF dropped photographic prints to ground formations during the 100 Days they would have used the map tubes to put them in.
