I’ve been to Dreghorn just once, so not really familiar, no. Edited 23 September by FROGSMILE

longinthetooth Posted 24 September Author Share Posted 24 September I've cropped and sharpened the image. My impression was that this was a studio photo in front of a painted background but the background looks so convincing!
TullochArd Posted 24 September Share Posted 24 September (edited) I don't recognise the crest. Initially I thought it could be an Edinburgh location ...... Redford Bks, Dreghorn, Colinton Church ....... that's most unlikely as Wm. Another was a Lt (marriage cert) not a CSgt in his 1917 'Edinburgh phase'. As such, based on what we have, it could be anywhere. Put it on your research request .... maybe someone there might recognise it in the Highlanders Museum ... or simply eliminate it as a nook of Cameron Barracks or Fort George?
