Ladies and Gents, I have followed this thread with interest, I too read Alastair Horne's Price of Glory many years ago and was inspired to visit Verdun, we have now been coming annually 8 years on the trot, due to arrive again 20th Feb, so will take our wellies, luckily one of the team is Ex French Foreign Legion, Croonaert would you possibly produce slightly bigger map images, we found the Gallwitz old visitors entrance, but thats all, need to put those bits of map into a greater contex.

many thanks

Hi All Been following this with interest and a very informative read. Thanks If I may back to the original post does anyone know what they are going to do with the remains? Will they be placed in the Fleury sector tomb at the Ossuary?

Thanks

Guy

Guy,

I haven't heard what will happen to the remains, so I don't know where they will be placed but as they're not identifiable, I should think the Fleury section of the Ossuary is a possibility.
