Here's one at St Menehould. I've attached one of mine (which isn't that clear) and one from nearer the time of its inauguration.

Perhaps, but it is something most people on battlefield tours of The Somme wish to see, after comparing pictures of the original Madonna after she toppled over and leant precariously face down for a long time.

As shown...

I was in Lille a couple of weeks ago and spotted an unusual memorial, to the French homing pigeons used for carrying messages and to the pigeon-fanciers who were shot by the Germans for keeping their birds.

And here is Lille's own memorial, to the civilians who suffered under German occupation as well as the soldiers morts pour la France

This is Cambrin between Bethune and Lens, the French have their own statue of liberty

I'm including the citation as it explains the country's gratitude to the people of Cambrin for their bravery during shellingdscn0098x.jpgdscn0100h.jpg

Was in Cambrin again, and in the cemetery noticed this gravestone for this little child, and then saw his name on he monument, so this is for him.

Not sure about dogs Fred.. There is a great memorial to the horses of The Great War at Chipilly.. The memorial is dedicated to those who died while fighting with the 58th (London) Division including during the Battle of Amiens in August 1918. The monument depicts an artilleryman cradling the head of his wounded horse. This divisional memorial is unusual because it includes the figure of an animal, most specifically a war horse. The inclusion of the horse pays tribute to the millions of horses who served alongside the military in the 1914-1918 war.

And the thing in front was a horse trough (one can see where the water emerged).
