Reveille 6am stables 6:30 grooming water and feed 7:30 finish very hot, flies plenty flies, orderly troop. Gave name in for camel corps. Memo Very hard week very little sleep and plenty of work. Guest KevinEndon Posted 7 April , 2007 Share Posted 7 April , 2007 Double entry today as I am off up Scotland to celebrate not only my birthday but to see the Celtic take a huge step closer to winning the league, fingers crossed. Fri 7th April 1916. Turned out 6am. Reveille as usual two sections field firing, did pretty well fired 20 rounds at target very interesting rifle. 1 bandolier inspection. Very hot. Sat 8th April 1916. Reveille and exercises as usual. Dismounted drill 9-10am. Final of sports. Saw camel race very interesting Had a parcel.
