kaisersoffensive Posted 10 June , 2005 Share Posted 10 June , 2005 Hello The plaques are Charles Herbert Edgar Carter and his brother William George Carter Ian Hi Ian Thanks for the clarification. Thought that's what you meant but for one moment wondered if you meant Harry Brazil. Thought all my Christmases had come at once! I bet kaisersoffensive is ecstatic!!! Great news Regards Keith <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hello Keith I think we are both at an impass on this one. I have the medals and would so dearly love the accompanying plaque. Little did I know that he had a brother who was sadly also a casualty. Coldstreamer has the plaques and quite naturally would like ownership of the medals. I am delighted in the knowledge that these items exist and are in good hands if not mine! Judgement of Solomon overd the baby needed on this one. Have a nice day out. Keith Kendall Posted 12 June , 2005 Author Share Posted 12 June , 2005 Hi to all who made photo requests regarding our trip to Ypres yesterday. We managed to take every phot requested, will take a while for me to sort them all out. I will then do an individual reply to each of you with the photos requested as soon as I have resized them to meet post size requirements For anyone who has seen the post I made with the original photo of the grave of H. Brazil (see link on page 1of this topic) below is how it is today. Special thanks to Brian 90 - who did all the driving and duplicated most of the photos as a back up in case I mucked up with the new camera and who knew his way around. Emotional - don't start me off again. Anyone with dry eyes at Menin Gate just can't understand!!!! Keith

Tom Morgan Posted 14 June , 2005 Share Posted 14 June , 2005 Keith and Brian, I'm glad that you had a good visit. What a great service you did to Pals by managing to take so many photos for other people while you were there for such a short time. I'm not one of the recipients of your excellent photos, but I just want to say that I appreciate the efforts you went to. You did a great act of friendship there. We have both benefited from the vast knowledge pals like you have and are prepared to share and help us novices. We can only hope that one day we may be able to help others with information but in the meantime "every little helps" as they say in the ads!!!!!!! For those of you still waiting for photos of panels at Tyne Cot and Menin Gate, they were taken but I have not had chance to resize them yet for posting, this week is a bit hectic. Get my long service medal tomorrow night. See how I spend the majority of my spare time in my profile. Regards Keith
