Terry Carter Posted 11 August , 2014 Share Posted 11 August , 2014 I have confession to make... but it was before all this centenary souvenirs hit the shops.... I bought one of them plastic pickelhaubes!!!! But it was to wind my mate up. He spends loads of money buying WW1 memorabilia. We did a WW1 display at a school and without him knowing I snook the plastic pickelhaube in and put it with his prized possessions. Well, I thought it was funny. trenchtrotter Posted 16 August , 2014 Share Posted 16 August , 2014 Terry you shouldn't wind Dave up. He is very sensitive. He probably believes it's genuine. TT
MikeyH Posted 22 August , 2014 Share Posted 22 August , 2014 RUPERT BROOKE IN PIZZA EXPRESS. Pizza Express in Rugby apparently has a 'Rupert Brooke' theme, with some of the poets work featuring on the walls. He was of course born in the town and attended Rugby School, which is adjacent to the restaurant. Have not been in yet, hope that it is carried out tastefully. Mike.
