FROGSMILE Posted 16 March , 2012 Share Posted 16 March , 2012 Only if they could feasibly have been worn by an old contemptible, say issued and then superceded in the 20 years before 1914 ..... I will compare Westlake with my odds and sods box. Irritatingly, I have the "next but one" RDF bi-metal Quail, but not the version in GM only. Scarce as rocking horse by-product? There are quite a few that would meet that criterion and as you have started it with the RDF.........
Muerrisch Posted 17 March , 2012 Author Share Posted 17 March , 2012 There are quite a few that would meet that criterion and as you have started it with the RDF......... Quite a few indeed! Those that did NOT muck about with titles in the 20 years before 1914 would be a shorter list. I have had a quick whizz through Westlake as far as Worcesters. Queens 1902 Buffs 1902 King's Own 1893, 1899, 1902 and 1905 NF 1910 R Warwicks 1902 King's 1902 Norfolk 1902 Leicester 1902 R Irish 1902 Green Howards 1912 RSF 1907 RWF 1898 R Inn F 1900, 1908, 1914 Gloster 1902 Worcester 1902, 1907 I have converted all Westlakes "about" and "by" to a single unqualified date. AND NO, I AM NOT GOING TO COLLECT THEM. I will finish the list next week, for those bereft of Westlake.
