Margaret9 Posted 11 January , 2007 Author Share Posted 11 January , 2007 We have now traced my great uncle in the Morayshire Roll of Honour. He was 'skipper' of HMT ALGOL, and served in both home and foreign waters. He was indeed 'blown-up' by an exploding mine from which he fractured both legs and sustained 'other injuries', he was also awarded a D.S.C. I've tried to find his medal cards but alas no luck. However, i have managed to download his younger brothers' (who we knew nothing about until now) medal cards. He was unfortunately killed in France (Cambrai) on the 22nd, March 1918, serving with the I/6TH Seaforth Highlanders. Margaret
