carolm Posted 27 December , 2006 Share Posted 27 December , 2006 Use this search engine - from what I have been told the Roll of Honour is a prime source of info Be warned - Ive never had a reply to any emails Ive sent... www.ww1photos.com/OnlineSearch.html ----------------------------------------------- Re: World War One Photographs site I've had mixed success with this site. Earlier this year I ordered and received a biography and photo from a newspaper article. The email address of the sender was: Jane Jones <jemjones100@yahoo.co.uk> (I feel it is okay to give these details as it is a commercial site.) Most of the entries do come from De Ruvigny's but there are a few others, like the one I got. Good luck Carolyn
Jacky Kingsley Posted 6 January , 2007 Share Posted 6 January , 2007 Hi Coldstreamer The Roll of Honour site do answer eventually. I gave them some information and they have said it will take two years before it appears on the site. I also corrected the details of two names already listed and they altered it quickly (although I never got the credit). Apparently the whole thing is done by volunteers so if no one in a certain county is interested in war casualties they just have to hope some one visits the area.
