It would appear that John George Wilson married Anna Louisa Eade.

Anna Louisa Eade was the daughter of John Davie Eade and Augusta Anne Aylmer (b1816 Walworth)

Augusta Anne Aylmer was the daughter of Arthur Aylmer (b 1772 Donadea County Kildare)

Arthur Aylmer would appear to be the fourth son of Sir Fitzgerald Aylmer, the 6th Baronet Aylmer of Donadea, Co Kildare. The family lived at Donadea Castle County Kildare. Sir Fitzgerald Aylmer was succeeded by his eldest son Sir Fenton Aylmer, 7th Bt.

The Aylmers settled in Co. Kildare in the thirteenth century. The main branch of the family had its seat at Lyons and remained there for over 500 years. In 1422 Richard Aylmer was appointed Keeper of the Peace for Dublin and Kildare, Bartholomew of Lyons was appointed High Sheriff of Kildare in 1495, and his son, Sir Gerald, became Lord Chief Justice of Ireland. As upholders of English authority the Aylmers took part in the Cromwellian and Jacobite wars. Sir Gerald's nephew, Richard, had three sons, Thomas, George and Gerald. The second son, George, took part in the Battles of the Boyne and Aughrim, and also the siege of Limerick. He died in 1729 and his grandson, Michael, was forced, because of debts, to sell Lyons and the rest of his lands, including the lands of Cloncurry, to Nicholas Lawless, in 1796. Other branches of the family settled at Ballycannon and Courtown, Donadea, Kerdiffstown and also in Co. Meath.

Gazette notification for the change of name January 28th 1910

The King has been graciously pleased to grant unto Allan Aylmer Wilson, of Shincliffe, in the county of Durham, Gentleman, and Lucy Luxmoore Dumville, his wife, His Royal licence and authority that they may, in compliance with a clause contained in the last will and testament of Marion Luxmoore, late of Oakhampton Park, in the parish of Oakhampton, in the county of Devon, Spinster, deceased, take and henceforth use the surname of Luxmoore in lieu of that of Wilson, and that he the said Allan Aylmer Wilson may bear the arms of Luxmoore only, and that such surname and arms may in like manner be taken borne and used by their issue, such arms being first duly exemplified according to the laws of arms and recorded in the College of Arms, otherwise the said Royal Licenec and permission to be void and of none effect:

And also to command that the said Royal concession and declaration be recorded in His Majesty's said College of Arms.

So it actually looks like Allan Aylmer Wilson inherited the title directly probably (based on her name) through his wife Lucy Luxmoore Dumville and not his father John George Wilson.

That explains the "double Luxmoore" in Lucy's name. I had wondered....

I'd have never have come up with that explanation, though!
