Enlarged as requested.

The colours represent the arm bands worn before the units had uniforms. This card was sent to every soldier in these units Christmas 1914. Unfortunately Lord N did not keep this up.

Looks like the quality of the cards got better as the war went on. Some brilliant cards, with 1917 being 'vintage' year. Fantastic.

Glad you liked it, also have page from Camp magazine. Thinking about it I knew the gentleman in question when I was a child but of course then I knew nothing of his history - shame.

Nice to see the Salonica Item, My specialised area,

This is the first tiome I have tried ataching a scan, this one is Christmas 1916 V1 Division.
