Peter Beckett Posted 16 August , 2005 Share Posted 16 August , 2005 TD60, Thanks very much for your efforts. The overlay on the aerial photo certainly helps me to understand where the hospital complex was. I have many photos of the different parts of the complex, thanks to a Forum member Jean-Luc DRON who sent them to me. If you are interested I can post you some Peter

TD60 Posted 16 August , 2005 Author Share Posted 16 August , 2005 The blue circle was the operating block of the complex Peter <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wahoo ! Nice photos. Looking to wood buildings and tents I understand why there are no remains. When I examinatedthe 1917 map I expected at least some bricks walls etc... and search some of them yesterday. Here is the walking path (chemin communal on the 1917 map) I think the water tanks in the Golf hotel pics are replaced by a new one quite at the same place ? TD60 Posted 16 August , 2005 Author Share Posted 16 August , 2005 Here is a view of where was the center of the hospital, the operating block. It is now a sport place and a school. The school will be soon enlarged. Maybe some remains will be discovered during works ? Regards

TD60 Posted 16 August , 2005 Author Share Posted 16 August , 2005 A view taken from the North East, more or less from where the Trianon hotel was.
TD60 Posted 31 August , 2005 Author Share Posted 31 August , 2005 Hello Here additional photo of july 1914 just before war. The Trianon hotel (see photos above) is on the top of the cliffs. Looking to details about the Trianon hotel: It was dynaminated by germans in 1944 and stones / bricks were used to build the atlantic wall. A trianon hotel still exists there! I have no photo of it. Now we have a clear and complete view of the place of the hospital. Regards
