Super photos, Martin. Couldn't we have a few names, for those of us who only ever meet people electronically?

Cheers

Well? Where is the policeman, the sailor, the builder, the cowboy and the Red Indian?

Derek - I assume that is a snap of the Pals' Trip '05 re-enactment troop? Hard to tell them from the originals.

Trenchie

Unless I am mistaken that is a non-regulation British Home Stores t-shirt under your army grey shirt. Surely a Field Punishment No 1 looms on the horizon at the next Re-enactors Group. Nothing personal you understand but I will even supply the wheel and the rope ... all in the name of Re-enactment of course :D

Graham,

I would have loved to put names to them but there were around 125 re-enactors and the only ones I we knew as pals were Trenchie, Patrick (whom Kate saw, but I didn't) and bkristof of whom I don't think I took any pics. The Great War Society was there (with Trenchie in their number) but there were also various other nationalities representing a range of other nationalities and language was occasionally an issue. One gentleman was masquerading at Manfred von Ricthofen but the beard made him a dead ringer for our King

Derek,

The camera was my new(ish) toy - a Canon digital SLR which which I am also much impressed.

Glad everyone liked the pics. Needless to say it took some hard work to line up portraits without obvious 21st century accoutrements in the background
