Remembered Today:

What does "OPD" stand for?

I was just looking at a medal index card which has in the remarks area "O. P. D. 10-8-15". The "O" could, just possibly, be a "Q". Does anyone know what this stands for? Entitlement was to a 15 trio with entry into F&F 23/11/14.

My gt uncle's card has 'M.P.D 20/02/1915' on it, which means 'missing presumed dead' It made me immediately think of that, however I'm sure other Forum Pals will know what it means....

Thanks to both of you. The PD standing for presumed dead sounds plausible, especially as it is followed by a date. The only problem is that I can't find any reference to him on the CWWG site.
