Jon Shattock Posted 9 April , 2005 Share Posted 9 April , 2005 I was just looking at a medal index card which has in the remarks area "O. P. D. 10-8-15". The "O" could, just possibly, be a "Q". Does anyone know what this stands for? Entitlement was to a 15 trio with entry into F&F 23/11/14. Jon

Jon <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My gt uncle's card has 'M.P.D 20/02/1915' on it, which means 'missing presumed dead' It made me immediately think of that, however I'm sure other Forum Pals will know what it means.... Jon Shattock Posted 10 April , 2005 Author Share Posted 10 April , 2005 Thanks to both of you. The PD standing for presumed dead sounds plausible, especially as it is followed by a date. The only problem is that I can't find any reference to him on the CWWG site. Jon
