Regarding what john had to say about Herbert Morris,i recently came across his name on another site and i too found it hard to comphrehend what would have made this boy enlist to come and fight in a far off land, only to be shot in a coal shed, what a terrible and tragic story,a waste of another young life.Another boy was james crozier, belfast,i believe he was 16,he ran away but apparently, age was no excuse, his comrades fed him rum and he had to be carried to his execution, when they began firing, they missed intentionally and he was shot through the head by a senior rank,if i remember correctly.

I shall hopefully visit herberts grave one day,i wonder if any of his family ever got to see his grave, i imagine not
