snusiru Posted 14 November , 2023 Share Posted 14 November , 2023 Your vintage find with Butlers Brothers Walsall has sparked my interest, especially considering the craftsmanship and history behind such items. Considering the timeframe, it's unlikely to be the 1914 pattern. The possibility of it being an 1888 pattern or part of a 1903 bandolier kit is a valid point. The color reference to the buff color of the 1888 pattern raises an interesting question. The association with Lee Metfords and early SMLEs is plausible, given the era.
