Hi Andrew, checked all the men mentioned 30 in total, 8 off were members of the 17th Battalion M.G.C. one point of interest there's two members in four different cemeteries,

Brian,

I had a quick look at the war diary for the day.  Casualties across all companies. See below.  You now at least know the action in which he was wounded:

Andrew, apologies for not replying earlier, been busy. Very lucky with the information form the absent voters list, and the diary, now I will look at the maps and try and locate where the company's were, thanks again for your response and help,
